How to Make a Blog Button

Blog Buttons (or badges) are becoming a very popular way to promote, track and link back to your blog.  I have compiled a short tutorial on how to make your own blog button.  These steps should be pretty easy to follow and they are only for those blogs who use blogger.
  • First you will want to find a picture that you like.  Either a photo you have saved on your computer or you can draw a picture using paint or any other drawing program you have.
  • You will want to upload your picture onto photobucket.com and resize the image to 125 x 125 and save it.
  • Once you have the image saved copy this code and sign into blogger.
<center><a href="http://YOUR WEB ADDRESS/" target="_blank" title="BLOG TITLE"><img alt="BLOG TITLE" src="http://IMAGE WEB ADDRESS"/></a> <center>
</center>
<center><textarea id="code-source" rows="3" cols="13" name="code-source"><center><a href="
http://YOUR WEB ADDRESS/"><img border="0" src="http://IMAGE WEB ADDRESS"/></a></center></textarea></center>

  • Once you are in blogger go to your design tab and add an html gadget (to the place you want your button to show). Add a catchy title, “Grab my Button” (or whatever you like).
  1. Paste the above html code into the html gadget.
  2. Replace all words in purple with your actual blogs web address: ours would be http://ourtipsforsaving.blogspot.com
  3. Replace all words in Red with your blogs title: ours would be: Tips for Saving
  4. Replace all words in Blue with your new image html: You will find this in photobucket, all you have to do is hover over you new resized picture and it will give you an html code. Copy it and paste here.
Save all of your work and test to make sure it works! While you're at it please grab our button (right sidebar) and add it to your blog.

How to Add a Twitter Button to your Blog

I was so excited to announce that we have finally added our Twitter button. I wanted to share how we added our FREE button.  Here are the easy steps I followed to ad our new Twitter button on Tips for Saving.

  1. First I did a google search and found www.twittericon.com and I clicked on the icons tab.
  2. I searched through the icons, picked my favorite and clicked on the image.
  3. I then added my twitter username into the empty field and it produced a html code for me.
  4. Then I copied the given html code.
  5. Came back to my blog and added a gadget to my design page.
  6. I pasted the new html code and saved the new gadget.
  7. I viewed my blog to make sure it showed up and clicked on the new button to be sure it worked.
Seven Very Easy steps to install a Twitter button to your Blog free of charge!  If you don't like any of the icons at twittericon, you can do your own web search for free twitter icons.

*If you have a more in depth tutorial on how to add a Titter button please feel free to share your link!

Custom T Shirt Printing

Who doesn’t love to throw a T-shirt on?  A T-shirt is the best part of your wardrobe, it’s comfortable, can go with anything, and most of all you can put whatever you want on them.  I love to shop for all different kinds of T-shirts with different designs and colors… just to be fun, creative, and unique
I have always loved custom T shirts.  When I was in high school and college and played sports, we used to always get custom T shirts made. Custom T shirts are common in school, especially in major activities and clubs. Thankfully, custom T shirts are affordable and quick.  Now that I’m older I love to order custom T shirts for gifts and family outings.  They are also great for company marketing, group outings, and giveaways.

I have been lucky enough to review a Custom T-Shirt from T-shirtprinting.net.  Before I even received my custom T-shirt I checked out their website.  I love that they do more than just t-shirts.  They can customize sweatshirts, hoodies, kids shirts, and vests.  I love that the T-shirt I received is made out of comfortable durable cotton.  The actual printed picture is of a monkey and the website name.  The print is very neat, clear and does not have any cracks in it.  It’s been through the wash already and it still looks like new!  Remember these are custom T shirts so you can be as creative as you want.
I totally recommend tshirtingprinting.net for all your custom printing needs.  The customer service is also great; they really care about their products and their customers.  If you check out their website you can even request a free catalog!

So please check out their website and see what custom product will work for you! I want to thank tshirtprinting.net for allowing me to reveiw their great product and for their great customer service!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commissions 16 CFR, Part 255 Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.
